This Means War,

Two Channel Video Installation (2 minute loop)

This Means War is a two channel video installation taken from archival footage of the Bangladeshi independence movement. The first video shows East Pakistani soldiers who had defected from the central Pakistani army authorities and joined the rebellion against what was then West Pakistan. The second video shows Indian civilians marching against the surge of refugees that had entered India as a result of the civil war that ensued between East and West Pakistan (now Bangladesh and Pakistan respectively).

The second video was projected at a window display in R/SF, a gallery on 24th and Mission streets in San Francisco, sadly it was forced to close due to rising rents in 2015.
